Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Studio Per Pope! by Alessandro Milesi was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in December 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 7,450.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alessandro Milesi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scaricatore di Sale, 1909, which sold at auction in June 2005 for EUR 21,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Studio Per Pope! von Alessandro Milesi im Dezember 2007 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 7.450,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alessandro Milesi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scaricatore di Sale, 1909 beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für EUR 21.700,00 versteigert wurde.
