This price was achieved in the auction Important Russian Pictures at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aleksandr Evgen'evich Iakovlev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Vasilii Shukhaev In His Studio in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,820,000.00 (€ 4,184,738.17).
