Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A-1 Motel by Alec Soth was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 19,050.00 (€ 17,255.43). Admittedly, works by Alec Soth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Charles, Vasa, Minnesota in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 113,400.00 (€ 94,264.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A-1 Motel von Alec Soth wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 19.050,00 (€ 17.255,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alec Soth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Charles, Vasa, Minnesota im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 94.264,34).
