Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle resting in the meadow by Albertus Verhoesen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2008. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albertus Verhoesen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,722.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cattle resting in the meadow von Albertus Verhoesen kam im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albertus Verhoesen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.722,39).
