Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rooster and his chicken by Albertus Verhoesen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009. The price achieved of EUR 1,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albertus Verhoesen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,722.39).

Die Arbeit A rooster and his chicken von Albertus Verhoesen kam im September 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albertus Verhoesen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.722,39).
