In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book, which included the work On The Lagoon, Venice by Alberto Prosdocimi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 470.00 (€ 665.69), 57% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alberto Prosdocimi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 6,125.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Lagoon, Venice von Alberto Prosdocimi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 470,00 (€ 665,69) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.125,00.
