Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the lagoon in Venice; A Venetian backwater; A gondola along a Venetian canal; and a sailing vessel in the Venetian lagoon at dusk by Alberto Prosdocimi was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2002. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 933.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Alberto Prosdocimi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 6,125.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 933,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.125,00.
