Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,316.65). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Prosdocimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto, which sold at auction in June 2001 for EUR 6,125.00.

Die Arbeit A View Of The Giudecca With San Giorgio Maggiore von Alberto Prosdocimi kam im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.316,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für EUR 6.125,00 versteigert wurde.
