In December 2013 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects, which included the work La palma e le banane by Alberto Gianquinto. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,200.00 57% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Gianquinto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pastorale, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 6,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects durch, in der auch die Arbeit La palma e le banane von Alberto Gianquinto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.200,00 und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Gianquinto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pastorale beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 6.500,00 versteigert wurde.
