Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Landscape by Albert Namatjira was sold in the Aboriginal Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in July 2009. The price achieved of AUD 20,400.00 (€ 11,549.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Namatjira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mt Sonder, MacDonnell Ranges in April this year with an auction result of AUD 92,250.00 (€ 55,291.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled Landscape von Albert Namatjira wurde im Juli 2009 in der Auktion Aboriginal Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 20.400,00 (€ 11.549,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Namatjira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mt Sonder, MacDonnell Ranges im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 92.250,00 (€ 55.291,51).
