The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,250.00 (€ 23,354.56), 69% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Namatjira - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mt Sonder, MacDonnell Ranges, which sold at auction in April this year for AUD 92,250.00 (€ 55,291.51).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.250,00 (€ 23.354,56) und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Namatjira mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mt Sonder, MacDonnell Ranges beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für AUD 92.250,00 (€ 55.291,51) versteigert wurde.
