This artwork by Albert Goodwin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Blue Basin, Trinidad sold for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,795.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of Benares From The Ganga River With The Great Mosque of Auranzeb, The Vishwanath Temple And Manikarnika Ghat Behind in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 192,000.00 (€ 152,091.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Goodwin erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Blue Basin, Trinidad für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.795,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Goodwin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of Benares From The Ganga River With The Great Mosque of Auranzeb, The Vishwanath Temple And Manikarnika Ghat Behind im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 192.000,00 (€ 152.091,25).
