Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work The outskirts of Florence by Albert Goodwin. The price achieved of GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,483.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of Benares From The Ganga River With The Great Mosque of Auranzeb, The Vishwanath Temple And Manikarnika Ghat Behind in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 192,000.00 (€ 152,091.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The outskirts of Florence von Albert Goodwin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.483,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Goodwin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of Benares From The Ganga River With The Great Mosque of Auranzeb, The Vishwanath Temple And Manikarnika Ghat Behind im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 192.000,00 (€ 152.091,25).
