In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Still Life With Oranges And Pineapple by Albert Francis King. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,207.77), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Francis King - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Violin, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,070.24).

Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Oranges And Pineapple von Albert Francis King zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.207,77) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Francis King mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Violin beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.070,24) versteigert wurde.
