Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul-Albert Besnard could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Woman Seated In A Chair With Her Dog (Possibly Princess Gabriella Of Rome) changed hands for USD 1,125.00 (€ 860.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul-Albert Besnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madame Alfred Lenoir Et Ses Deux Filles in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 67,650.00.
In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wechselte die Arbeit Woman Seated In A Chair With Her Dog (Possibly Princess Gabriella Of Rome) für USD 1.125,00 (€ 860,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00.
