Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Baby by Paul-Albert Besnard for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,146.88). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul-Albert Besnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madame Alfred Lenoir Et Ses Deux Filles in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 67,650.00.

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul-Albert Besnard erzielen.
