Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alan Lowndes could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Portrait of Frieda changed hands for GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,136.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Lowndes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putting To Sea in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 88,131.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Lowndes konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of Frieda für GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.136,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Lowndes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Putting To Sea im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 88.131,08).
