Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer of the Rock, 1978 by Al Held was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 126,375.00 (€ 129,178.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Al Held - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Compass Rose, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 312,500.00 (€ 283,601.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Summer of the Rock, 1978 von Al Held kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 126.375,00 (€ 129.178,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Al Held mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Compass Rose beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 312.500,00 (€ 283.601,05) versteigert wurde.
