The work Ford by Al Held was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in March 2021. It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,966.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Al Held achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compass Rose in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 283,601.05).

Die Arbeit Ford von Al Held wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.966,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Al Held erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compass Rose im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 283.601,05).
