The work Kagamishihure by Ai Yamaguchi was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,000.00 (€ 890.00), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ai Yamaguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ayame mo shiranu yama in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 45,451.33).

Die Arbeit Kagamishihure von Ai Yamaguchi wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 890,00) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ai Yamaguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ayame mo shiranu yama im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 45.451,33).
