A top price for Ai Yamaguchi - as previously expected
The work ayame mo shiranu yama by Ai Yamaguchi was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 45,451.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 360,000.00 – 480,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, ayame mo shiranu yama is the most expensive artwork by Ai Yamaguchi that we have observed at auctions so far.
