The »bidding war« ended at MAD 182,000.00 (€ 15,923.14), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moroccan the Battle Of Marrakesh, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 50,923.20).

Die Arbeit Cap Spartel von Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art bei Artcurial in Marrakesch versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 182.000,00 (€ 15.923,14) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moroccan the Battle Of Marrakesh beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 50.923,20) versteigert wurde.
