Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Portfolio of Sketches various sizes circa 25 x 20cm by Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,966.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moroccan the Battle Of Marrakesh in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 50,923.20).
