Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract Figure in Red by Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,865.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ahmed Ben Driss El Yacoubi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moroccan the Battle Of Marrakesh in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 50,923.20).
