This artwork by Agustín Fernández achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2017. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Pareja sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,924.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Agustín Fernández; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in September this year with the realized price of USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,095.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Agustín Fernández erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Pareja für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.924,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Agustín Fernández; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.095,24).
