Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Agnes Martin was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 65,989.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agnes Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Agnes Martin wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 65.989,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agnes Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
