The work The Lamp by Agnes Martin was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. It achieved a price of EUR 2,097,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40 %. Admittedly, works by Agnes Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).

Die Arbeit The Lamp von Agnes Martin kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.097.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agnes Martin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
