Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pyramid Series #1 by Agnes Denes was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2006. The price achieved of USD 2,280.00 (€ 1,786.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Agnes Denes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study of Distortions - Isometric Systems in Isotropic Space, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,976.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pyramid Series #1 von Agnes Denes kam im Juli 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.280,00 (€ 1.786,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Agnes Denes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study of Distortions - Isometric Systems in Isotropic Space beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.976,05) versteigert wurde.
