Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Agnes Denes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2007. In the House Sale auction, the work Map Projections: The Egg sold for USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,050.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. Admittedly, works by Agnes Denes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study of Distortions - Isometric Systems in Isotropic Space in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,976.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Agnes Denes erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion House Sale wurde die Arbeit Map Projections: The Egg für USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.050,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agnes Denes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study of Distortions - Isometric Systems in Isotropic Space im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.976,05).
