Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Guitar Player And Two Peasants Dancing In A Street, After Karel Du Jardin by Aert Schouman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,088.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aert Schouman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Helmeted Guinea Fowl And A Black Headed Caïque On A Branch; And A Red Ibis And A Victoria Crowned Pigeon in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 101,481.48).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Helmeted Guinea Fowl And A Black Headed Caïque On A Branch; And A Red Ibis And A Victoria Crowned Pigeon im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 101.481,48).
