Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Modern Evening Auction auction, the work Three Balinese Women in the Garden sold for HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Evening Auction wurde die Arbeit Three Balinese Women in the Garden für HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Women Around the Lotus Pond im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.360.000,00 (€ 3.509.054,33).
