Upper estimate price exceeded by 34 %.
The work Two Balinese Women with Offerings, Sanur Beach by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès was sold in the Modern Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 243,749.07), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).

Die Arbeit Two Balinese Women with Offerings, Sanur Beach von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Evening Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 243.749,07) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Around the Lotus Pond im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.360.000,00 (€ 3.509.054,33).
