Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Afternoon Sale, which included the work Blue Sauna by Adriana Varejão. The price achieved of GBP 488,750.00 (€ 554,493.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriana Varejão - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II), which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,301,892.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Afternoon Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Sauna von Adriana Varejão zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 488.750,00 (€ 554.493,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriana Varejão mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parede com Incisões a la Fontana II (Wall with Incisions a la Fontana II) beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.301.892,03) versteigert wurde.
