Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work David Hockney by Adrian George was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,819.92). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrian George - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David Hockney, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,809.71).
