Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yu-Ling Sad by Adrian George was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in February 2008. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,634.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Adrian George have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Hockney in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,809.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yu-Ling Sad von Adrian George wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.634,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrian George auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Hockney im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.809,71).
