Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection, which included the work Rocky river landscape with a Herdsman on a road to the left by Adriaen van Nieulandt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,552.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van Nieulandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tulips, roses, Turk's cap lilies, columbines, carnations and other flowers in a ceramic vase, with tulips in a glass vase, on a wooden ledge, with a peacock butterfly, a grasshopper and a lizard in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 80,541.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rocky river landscape with a Herdsman on a road to the left von Adriaen van Nieulandt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.552,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adriaen van Nieulandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tulips, roses, Turk's cap lilies, columbines, carnations and other flowers in a ceramic vase, with tulips in a glass vase, on a wooden ledge, with a peacock butterfly, a grasshopper and a lizard im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 80.541,37).
