The work A Wooded Landscape With Huntsmen And Their Hounds On The Banks Of A Lake, An Abundance Of Dead Game In The Foreground by Adriaen de Gryef was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in November 2008. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adriaen de Gryef have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Hound Guarding Dead Game Birds, A Stag And A Hare, With Huntsmen In A Landscape; And Hounds With A Dead Swan, Hare And A Boar, With Huntsmen In A Landscape in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,413.02).
