However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan Lubbers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New York, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 58,600.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch Mrs S. von Adriaan Lubbers wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 17.400,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 45 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriaan Lubbers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New York beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 58.600,00 versteigert wurde.
