Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Tahitian girl by Herman Gouwe was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Gouwe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A plough team in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Tahitian girl von Herman Gouwe kam im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Gouwe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A plough team im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
