Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Winter te Rotterdam: a busy snow covered street by Adriaan de la Rivière. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Adriaan de la Rivière have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2002 the work Offering a cup of tea was auctioned for EUR 3,760.00.

Im September 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter te Rotterdam: a busy snow covered street von Adriaan de la Rivière zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Adriaan de la Rivière konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2002 die Arbeit Offering a cup of tea für EUR 3.760,00 versteigert.
