Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work At work in the street by Adriaan de la Rivière. The price achieved of EUR 1,075.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan de la Rivière - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Offering a cup of tea, which sold at auction in January 2002 for EUR 3,760.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit At work in the street von Adriaan de la Rivière zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.075,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriaan de la Rivière mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Offering a cup of tea beobachtet, die im Januar 2002 für EUR 3.760,00 versteigert wurde.
