Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 1,673.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan de la Rivière - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Offering a cup of tea, which sold at auction in January 2002 for EUR 3,760.00.
