Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Adolphe Braun could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th and 20th Century Photographs auction, the work Alpine panoramas, late 1860s changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 502.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe Braun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vues Panoramiques: 'Lac de Wallenstadt'; 'Vallée de Chamonix'; 'Chapelle Notre Dame a Feé Vallée de Saas'; 'Vue de Interlaken'; 'Vue de la Schienigiplatte'; 'Vue de Wengen pres Lauterbrunnen'; 'Vallee de Gastern Suisse'; 'Le Stanbach'; 'Kandersteg in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,785.17

In der Auktion 19th and 20th Century Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Alpine panoramas, late 1860s für GBP 293,75 (€ 502,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolphe Braun erzielen.
