Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lugano et le mont Salvatore; Defilé de Dazio; and Vue depuis le mont Genere sur le lac Majéure; Vue de Zermatt by Adolphe Braun was sold in the Travel, Science and Natural History auction at Christies in London in April 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,073.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe Braun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vues Panoramiques: 'Lac de Wallenstadt'; 'Vallée de Chamonix'; 'Chapelle Notre Dame a Feé Vallée de Saas'; 'Vue de Interlaken'; 'Vue de la Schienigiplatte'; 'Vue de Wengen pres Lauterbrunnen'; 'Vallee de Gastern Suisse'; 'Le Stanbach'; 'Kandersteg in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,785.17

Die Arbeit Lugano et le mont Salvatore; Defilé de Dazio; and Vue depuis le mont Genere sur le lac Majéure; Vue de Zermatt von Adolphe Braun wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.073,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
