Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Trinity by Adolph Gottlieb. The price achieved of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 794,727.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adolph Gottlieb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bonac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,812,500.00 (€ 4,250,198.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trinity von Adolph Gottlieb zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 794.727,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolph Gottlieb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bonac im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.812.500,00 (€ 4.250.198,71).
