Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Skt.Adolfina, Vom Skt.Adolf=Throon, Im Tirol, 1927 by Adolf Wölfli was sold in the Swiss Art / Swiss Made auction at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2017. The price achieved of CHF 37,500.00 (€ 32,031.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolf Wölfli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der San Salvathor in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 795,000.00 (€ 701,553.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Skt.Adolfina, Vom Skt.Adolf=Throon, Im Tirol, 1927 von Adolf Wölfli wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Swiss Art / Swiss Made bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CHF 37.500,00 (€ 32.031,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CHF 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolf Wölfli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der San Salvathor im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 795.000,00 (€ 701.553,12).
