In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams, which included the work 6 Kruetze by Adolf Wölfli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,000.00 (€ 52,947.41), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolf Wölfli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der San Salvathor in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 795,000.00 (€ 701,553.12).

Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams durch, in der auch die Arbeit 6 Kruetze von Adolf Wölfli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 52.947,41) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolf Wölfli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der San Salvathor im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 795.000,00 (€ 701.553,12).
