Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Adolf Karol Sandoz could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work At the Oasis changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,085.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolf Karol Sandoz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prayer at Sunset outside Barka, Oman in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 36,896.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit At the Oasis für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.085,55) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolf Karol Sandoz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prayer at Sunset outside Barka, Oman im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 36.896,05).
