This artwork by Adam McEwen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. In the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction, the work Oasis Water Fountain sold for USD 437,000.00 (€ 320,381.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. This high result makes Oasis Water Fountain the most expensive artwork by Adam McEwen that we have observed at auctions so far.
