Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Sky Was An Impossible Blue (Plane); Upon Every Wave Our Wellbeing Rides (Boat)(Two Unique Works), 2023 by Adam Bridgland was auctioned at Bonhams in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 332.80 (€ 382.15). Admittedly, works by Adam Bridgland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wake Up Next to People Who Make You Feel Happy; She Always Made Me Smile; Shall We Go Home with the Tide (Three Unique Works) in December last year with an auction result of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,159.03).
Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Bridgland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wake Up Next to People Who Make You Feel Happy; She Always Made Me Smile; Shall We Go Home with the Tide (Three Unique Works) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.159,03).
